Job Description

A genuinely exciting Business Development role has arisen with this leading provider of lighting, audio, rigging and staging solutions for the events, broadcasting/corporate and B2B sectors. They are looking for an experienced sales professional to join their team! 

LOCATION: You will spend 50% of your time in the office near the Surrey area and cover London and the surrounding area as a territory (although nationwide travel may occasionally be required).  

SALARY: £35,000 to £42,000 as basic salary with car allowance/travel allowance, 20 days holiday and company pension.  

You will be responsible for developing a new and existing client base, covering three main internal areas of the business’s hires; production, broadcasting/corporate and B2B hires. 

The role of Business Development Manager requires strong communication combined with proven customer liaison and sales skills and an in-depth knowledge of the entertainment technology industry under their remit. An important aspect of the role involves meeting and liaising with potential and existing customers in order to develop new business for the company, with a specific focus within the three markets.  

You will have specific responsibility for the Hires side of the business (not Theatre); dealing with initial enquiries, qualifying the enquiry and confirming the client’s specification. You will attend frequent meetings with new and existing clients, managing meetings from leads and networks. 

Successful candidates will have a working knowledge of AV, TV and Events sectors (such as media servers, audio equipment and corporate lighting requirements) and a proven track record within field sales/business development
