Job Description

A genuinely exciting Business Development opportunity has arisen with this well established and rapidly expanding provider of electrical safety testing and inspection services to commercial, industrial and education organisations in the UK. They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing team. If you are looking for a role with some real earning potential please apply ASAP!  

LOCATION:  Candidates will ideally live in the Northern Home counties and will cover this area as a territory

SALARY: Basic salary is £30,000 to £35,000 as a basic salary with an OTE of £55,000 which is completely uncapped and designed to reward new business. You will also receive a car allowance of £400, 30 days holiday (including statutory), private medical insurance after a qualifying period and company pension. 

You will be providing fixed wire Testing, PAT testing, thermographic surveys, emergency light testing as well as a full range of electrical installation and maintenance services to Government Departments, Facilities Management Companies, Local Authorities and Housing Associations as well as education, health and businesses within the industrial and commercial sectors. 

The role is predominantly new business, however incredibly well supported. You will receive some ‘house accounts’ to farm and manage, as well leads to follow up on and an existing database of contacts to call from. Saying that, someone at this level would be expected to research and source their own leads in order to develop opportunities. The aim is develop your own account portfolio to nurture and grow.  

You will manage your own diary, book your own appointments, conduct site survey’s in order to identify opportunities and present at boardroom level when required. You will be hunting for contracts and ‘one off’ jobs to quote for. It’s all about feeding into the pipeline, putting in the effort and building the relationships.  

Candidates MUST have a minimum of 2 years field sales experience. You will be able to speak to clients at all levels from Engineers to Managing Directors.
