POSITION: Account Manager - Water Treatment, Field Sales Executive – Water Hygiene
SALARY: £32,000 - £38,000, OTE £54K plus company vehicle, pension, expense account, prospects.

To be suitable for this role you must have water treatment/water hygiene/ACOP L8 sales experience. Preferably you will have experience of managing a portfolio of medium to large accounts selling water treatment, water hygiene, ACOP L8 risk assessments, tank cleans, chlorination, boiler water chemical analysis, cooling tower analysis, water treatment chemicals, legionella awareness courses, remedial works and associated works.
If you have been selling water treatment or water hygiene services in the past then this may be the next step for you . The company has a massive multi building, multi-site account that they need someone to run. The account is secure, happy, has been with them for a number of years and is currently looked after by the general manager. However, the calls on his time from other parts of the business are mounting up, and they do not want the customer to suffer through inattention which is where you come in!
Initially you will work closely with the general manager, being introduced to all the relevant contacts within the client with a view to taking control of the account fairly quickly. Basically you will be the “ go to “ person for any queries. Next you will need to fully understand the customer and get to know the decision makers, influencers, managers, useful contacts and the field teams. As you cement your relationship with the customer it may be a good idea to complete a full top down survey of all the sites, looking at what services you currently provide, what other potential there is at each site, competitor activity, new sites coming on line etc., as well as the day to day activities of looking at the any ACOP L8 risk assessments that come up with recommendations on them, positive readings that come up from the monitoring activities, booking work in with the operations team for closed system sampling, tank cleans, chlorination, TMV changes, flexi pipe removals, descales, installation of water conditioning equipment including softeners, reverse osmosis filtration, carbon filtration, de min plant, sorting out any problems, recommending best practice, problem solving, completing onsite training etc.
The role is going to be extremely busy and varied. There will be an element of travel as the client’s sites are scattered across the South UK and Midlands with the necessity to visit the sites as often as you are able to.
