SALARY: £30,500 - £40,500 with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, overtime, company pension

The company have been established for over 70 years and are a major international provider of industrial process heating equipment designing and manufacturing steam boilers, heat recovery systems, industrial boilers and thermal fluid heaters for a wide range of industries including construction, chemicals, print and marine.
Day to day responsibilities as an Applications Engineer include generating quotes through the assessment of the customers requirements using in-house software to select key components and equipment to meet specifications. This includes system flow and pipe work pressure drop calculations to ensure accurate application of the company’s range of steam generators, fire tube steam boilers, high temperature thermal fluid heaters, process air heaters and gaseous effluent thermal oxidisers. As an Applications Engineer you will also complete project engineering checks and preparation of commissioning specifications along with pre and post sales applications supporting the field sales and internal engineering teams.
You will be based in their office in Hertfordshire reporting to the Product Applications Manager working closely with the Technical Service Engineers, Contract Engineers and Field Sales Engineers. Working days are Mon-Thurs 9am-5.30pm and Fri 9am-4.30pm with plenty of overtime.
To be suitable for this role as an Applications Engineer ideally you need to have a HNC, Chemical or Mechanical qualification with experience in a compatible industry or a manufacturer of related equipment. Candidates qualified to graduate/HNC level with less experience, but good potential will be considered.
