Job Description

A genuinely exciting Area Sales Manager/Product Specialist position has arisen with this leading manufacturer of power tools. If you are someone with knowledge of construction and power tools, with a minimum of 2 years field sales experience with great presentation skills, then this is the role for you. LOCATION: You will cover a wide territory which includes South West London, London Central, North London and Essex. Living on patch is essential due to travel, ideal location to live would be Enfield or Harlow (but not set in stone). You will spend 5 days a week out on the road visiting customers across this area. 

SALARY: £22,000 to £26,500 as a basic with another £5000 to £7000 in bonuses which is paid quarterly and 6-monthly. You will also receive a fully expensed company vehicle which is a Ford Transit van (having access to off-road parking would be a plus). You will also receive £120 a month lunch allowance, company credit card and float for expenses (as some overnight stays will be expected). 

You will be demonstrating a wide range of power tools and garden machinery to clients within the construction sector including house builders, contractors, and housing associations. These leads will be gathered by accompanying the Area Sales Manager and speaking to the builder’s merchants and electrical wholesalers on their patch, finding out who their top accounts are with and making appointments to see them (in time you will develop your own leads). You will talk through the features and benefits of the tools to the clients, no quotes will be given, or orders taken, you simply direct them to their nearest stockist. 

Successful candidates MUST have at least 2 years field sales experience/face to face sales experience and have knowledge of power tools. Full training and induction will be given. If you are looking for a well-established company that supports and develops its staff, then please apply ASAP.
