Job Description

A fantastic Area Sales Manager position has arisen within a leading manufacturer of access control and locking systems in the U.K. 

The company specialise in selling access control, keypads, door automation and electronic locks and various other products into manufacturers and installers. 

SALARY:         £30,000-£40,000 basic plus £10,000 OTE 

BENEFITS:     Car, pension, holiday. 

LOCATION:    This is a field-based role covering above the North and Southern Scotland 

This role is a mixture of both new business and account management. You will be expected to self-generate your own leads via cold-calling, canvassing and your own network. Your role will be to nurture and develop these accounts as well as look to bring on new customers. You will be in complete control of your own diary, spending 4-5 days a week out on the road, completing any administrative tasks from a home office. You will be expected to visit the office once a month to have a meeting with the General Manager. A highly solution-based sales approach is required, conducting an in-depth needs analysis to fully determine the customers requirements, presenting relevant products and closing the sale. 

To be successful for this role, you must have at least 1 years’ proven field sales experience selling in to installers and distributors in the security industry. You must have experience in both managing a territory as well as being a new business hunter.

You should be confident and well presented with an excellent work ethic.
