Job Description

A genuinely exciting Area Sales Manager role has arisen with this leading supplier of catering essentials. You will inherit an account base of distributors to manage and you will be tasked with growing and developing this area. LOCATION: You will cover the South East and the South West of England so ideally you will live central to patch. You will work from home when you are not out visiting clients.  

SALARY: £32,000 to £35,000 as a basic with another £5000 on top in commission which is paid out monthly. You will also receive a car allowance, 20 days holiday and company pension.  

You will sell a wide range of catering supplies such as kitchen foil, clingfilm, baking paper and tissues into a network of catering distributors.  

You will inherit an account base of distributors to manage and you will be tasked with growing and developing this area. You will be responsible for identifying, developing and delivering new business opportunities within the designated sales territory and developing and maintaining a new business pipeline.  You will be negotiating pricing, listings and promotions with customers to ensure that business is maximised, and profitability is maintained.  

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 2 years field sales experience and experience of selling into distributors. You don’t need to have sold catering supplies (although this would help) but you do have to be familiar with this route to market.
