A fantastic Area Sales Manager opportunity has arisen within an industry leading distributor and installer of Racking and Shelving solutions.
This role is initially an Area Sales Manager role, but the successful candidate will have the potential to move into the role of Sales Director within 18 months.
The company specialise in a range of racking and shelving solutions such as warehouse pallet racking, shelving systems and mezzanine flooring into a variety of sectors including warehousing and distribution, food and drink, document archiving and manufacturing.
SALARY: £35,000 - £38,000 plus commission

LOCATION: The is a field-based role covering the South East of England, but candidates must be within a reasonable distance to the office in Kent.
This role is a mixture of new business and account management. You will be expected to self-generate your own leads via cold-calling, canvassing, networking and referrals as well as look to nurture and grow existing accounts.
A complete “cradle to the grave” sales approach is required. You will be responsible for taking the role on from inception, conducting an in-depth needs analysis and site survey to fully understand the requirements of the client, discussing relevant solutions, drawing up quotations, negotiating and closing the sales.
From here, you will then be responsible for keeping in contact with the client throughout the installation process to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Although this role is initially an Area Sales manager position, there is the potential for this role to transition into a Sales Director position within approximately 18 months due to the pending retirement of the current Sales Director.
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 5 years’ proven experience of selling racking and shelving, storage solutions or mezzanine flooring for warehouses and offices via End-Users, Architects, Specifiers and Contractors. You must have experience of conducting site surveys and reading and interpreting technical drawings.
You must be a self-starter with the ability and confidence to work autonomously.
As this is an Area Sales Manager role, you must have a full UK driving licence and although covering the South East of the UK, due to the potential of becoming part of senior management, candidates must live a reasonable commute for semi-regular visits to the office in Kent.
