Job Description

An incredible Business Development Manager position has arisen within an industry leading manufacturer of Access Control, Door Entry and CCTV solutions. They are looking for an experienced and successful Business Development Manager who will focus on the Housing Association marketplace to join their friendly and dynamic sales team.

SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000 basic plus commission 

BENEFITS: Expenses, 21 days holiday rising to 25, pension 

LOCATION: This is a mix of being office and field based with the office being situated near Hemel Hempstead 

This role will be a mixture of both new business and account management within the Housing Association marketplace. You will be responsible for keeping in regular contact with varying points of contacts within the accounts to look for new opportunities that are arising as well as looking for new accounts to start relationships with. 

Working from the office and going out on appointments, a highly consultative sales approach is required. You will be expected to self-generate your own leads via cold-calling and researching and to then conduct an in-depth needs analysis to identify up and coming projects or additional products and solutions that may be of interest.  

When required, you will arrange to go and meet with clients face to face, to be able to conduct site surveys and get a full understanding of their requirements or you may accompany Customer Service Teams to appointments to be able to use this as an opportunity to upsell. 

Other responsibilities will also include ensuring that the CRM system is kept up to date and all necessary technical specifications are accurate and passed over to relevant internal departments in a timely fashion. 

This is an ideal role for an external Business Development Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager or Sales Executive with experience within access control, door entry systems or CCTV selling into Housing Associations or an Internal Sales Executive who is looking for the next step in their career within the access control and door entry systems industry who has dealt with Housing Associations.
