POSITION:     Business Development Manager– Lighting 

SALARY:         £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, bonus between £4,000 - £9,000 depending on performance, Holiday, company pension, Private Medical Healthcare, Childcare Vouchers, Company car or Allowance 

LOCATION:    London & South East (Regional) 

A Business Development Manager position has arisen with a company who specialise in manufacturing and supplying a wide range of Lighting into wholesalers, distributors, Contractors, Architects and Designers. They are looking for a motivated, target driven Business Development Manager to join their team. 

The ideal candidate would need to be based around Tunbridge Wells or locations around in and around there. 

Your main responsibilities as a Business Development Manager will be to increase sales within your allocated region by managing new and existing relationships with customers/wholesalers, brand franchisees and distributors by offering an excellent level of service. You will be responsible for managing the top 30 accounts within your region as well as locating and engaging with prospective customers and promoting the brand. You will work in partnership with the project team to provide them with leads for projects by undertaking site visits or meeting with clients (Contractors, Architects and Designers) for project specification. 

To be suitable for this position as a Business Development Manager you must have 2 years’ experience in Field Sales or at least two years’ experience working as a Branch Manager for a Lighting wholesaler. You must have experience within the Lighting industry and have confidence dealing with both wholesalers and contractors and be confident in undertaking site visits and following up on new leads. 

The ideal candidate will have Lighting experience and have excellent interpersonal skills with good written and verbal communication, excellent commercial awareness, must be target driven, self-motivated and a real team player.
