Job Description

A genuinely exciting Business Development Manager position has arsine with this leading supplier of construction security solutions. They provide a wide range of services such as construction CCTV and monitoring, site turnstiles and fire alarms. They are looking for a money motivated sales professional who can target the construction marketplace in and around the London area. LOCATION: You will live in London (or commutable to) and will cover everything inside the M25 including London as a territory. You will typically spend 4 days a week out on the road and 1 day a week working from home completely quotations etc. 

SALARY: Circa £30k as a basic salary with an OTE of at least £40k which is completely uncapped and designed to reward new business. You will also receive a company car or car allowance, laptop, phone, 20 days holiday and pension.  

You will be selling a wide range of construction site security such as construction CCTV and monitoring, wireless scaffold alarms, construction site fire alarms, construction 4G mobile internet construction site turnstiles (to name but a few) to construction firms, house builders and main contractors. 

The role will be that of new business initially, you will canvass and prospect construction firms and construction sites throughout London. Points of contact will be Site Managers, Project Managers and Managing Directors. You will typically spend 4 days a week out on the road and 1 day a week working from home completely quotations etc. You will generate between 3 to 5 new contracts/installs a month and you will grow and maintain all of the accounts you win.  

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 2 years field sales experience with a proven track record of selling CCTV and/or access control solutions. Experience of selling into the construction would be useful but no essential. You must be a self-starter, able to generate your own appointments and win new business.
