Job Description

Catering Equipment, Ovens, Fryers, Dish Washers, Extractor Fans, Glass Washers, Griddles, Water Boilers, Refrigeration. 

SALARY:    £29,500 - £35,500 basic plus overtime, company bonus, 21 days paid holiday + Bank Holidays, excellent pension scheme, ongoing training, company vehicle                    

LOCATION: Slough, St Albans, Enfield, Brentwood 

To be suitable for this role you must have experience of installing, servicing and repairing a wide range of commercial catering equipment, Comcat 1-5 is useful, 17th or 18th Edition electrical is an advantage. 

Are you a catering equipment expert?  Do you have experience of surveying, installing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of catering equipment including ovens, hobs, deep fryers, microwaves, griddles, dish washers, extraction systems? 

The company have been established for many years with an excellent reputation for customer service and the team’s technical expertise.  They do get involved in the odd one off repair or individual bit of kit that needs replacing but on the whole the majority of the business is stripping out an old kitchen, working closely with the chef to design what he needs, installing it with very high quality standards and then maintaining throughout its working life. As an engineer you will be building life long rapport with your customers. 

Day to day duties – you will be involved in the technical survey of kitchens along side the design team looking for power, gas, drain, physical access, extraction ducts etc. After the design phase you may get involved in overseeing the rip out team and any contractors completing fabric upgrades i.e. flooring, tiling, lighting, you will then be responsible for the equipment install and commissioning, later you will be completing routine planned maintenance on a very wide range of equipment as well as breakdown, fault finding and repair.   

Clients range from top chefs at Michelin Star restaurants, to tiny coffee shops or the more mundane kitchens in care homes, schools or nurseries, all are given the same care and attention. 

To be suitable for this role you must be an expert in the installation and maintenance of catering equipment, have a real eye for detail, persistence and motivation.
