Job Description

An exciting Design Technician role is on offer with this leading provider of lighting systems, sound systems, home cinemas and other home automation products. They are looking for an experienced Design Technician with an expert knowledge of CAD and preferably knowledge of lighting or audio-visual solutions to join their team. LOCATION: You will be working from the office Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5.30pm.  

SALARY: £18k to £28k as a basic salary (depending on experience), 20 days holiday (rising to 25 days) plus pension etc. Parking is provided on site.  

They sell lighting systems, sound systems, home cinemas and other home automation products to, Architects, Designers, Construction companies and Developers.  

You will be responsible for putting together CAD layouts/designs in order to put together visual proposals for the team (based from their designs) for their lighting and audio-visual projects. You will also be responsible for order processing, answering and routing calls and liaising with clients over the phone and face to face. 

Successful candidates will at least 2 years’ experience working as a Design Technician and will have excellent knowledge of CAD/CAD design. You will ideally have knowledge of Visio, Excel and Dtools. Knowledge of lighting and/or audio-visual solutions would also be useful. If this sounds of interest, please apply ASAP.
