Job Description

OPPORTUNITY: The business is a rapidly expanding, robotic/electronic laboratory equipment and electronic healthcare products company, with some UK manufacturing some of the best products imported from overseas.

POSITION :     Electronic Bench Service Engineer - Medical Electronic Graduate

PRODUCTS : Electronic and Robotic Laboratory Equipment

SALARY :        £19,500 - £28,970 basic plus overtime, company bonuses, excellent pension scheme, prospect to field based engineering

LOCATION :   North Kent

EXPERIENCE :

You must have an electronic repair background with a recognised qualification, ONC in electronics is preferred, but City & Guilds is acceptable, good communication skills and the willingness to talk to clients, enthusiasm, stability and personality 

Your role is to receive the units, unpack, complete a full visual inspection and decide on the next course of action, which may include

  • Routine maintenance on the systems, including a full visual inspection, diagnostics, any repairs or fault finding required, recommissioning, calibrating, testing with known samples and reading for dispatch.
  • Quotes, where necessary stripping down to fault find and produce a quote for the client, where possible phoning the client directly, emailing or posting
  • Repairs down to component level on the more complex and expensive equipment. Board level on the normal kit, most faults are fairly routine including wiring loom issues due to moving arms, drive motor failure, worn parts, power components with some more complex and in depth faults to solve.

To be suitable for this role you must have bench electronic engineering experience, good communication skills and excellent fault finding abilities, or an electronic degree and willing to learn.
