The company who sell a range of blinds such as venetian blinds, roller blinds, shutters, PVC and fabrics into a variety of Retailers, Independent blind shops, DIY Stores and Contractors are looking for a highly experienced and successful Head of Sales to join their team.
SALARY: £80,000 - £85,000 depending on experience plus bonus

LOCATION: This is a field-based position, however you must be a reasonable commute to the site in Birmingham for major account meetings
This is a senior management position, where you will be in complete control of the full sales process. You will be responsible for the P&L, creating and implementing sales strategies, monitoring the external sales team, ensuring KPI’s are hit and ultimately making sure that company sales targets are achieved.
The role will be a split of approximately 3-4 days a week being out on the road and 1-2 days a week working from home, where you will manage your team of 7 Area Sales Managers throughout the UK and Ireland. You will conduct reviews, offer any training and support, shadow them to appointments and discuss any strategies that may be needed to guarantee their targets are achieved.
On top of managing the Area Sales Managers, you will also be responsible for looking after a portfolio of key clients. Therefore, you will be expected to nurture these relationships, meeting with senior board members and decision makers to grow these accounts.
When not out on the road or meeting with key clients, you will be compiling detailed reports and forecasts for the Directors as well as being involved in senior management meetings.
The ideal Head of Sales candidate needs to have at least 5 years’ experience within a Head of Sales position with a proven track-record of managing and developing external sales teams to achieve company targets.
You need to have worked for a company with a turnover in excess of £50million and be able to lead by example and offer motivation and guidance whilst being able to break any barriers that are put in your way keeping the focus on the business.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must and the ability to encourage and motivate others whilst working under pressure and time restraints. The right candidate will need to have a team spirited approach to their work, a creative outlook and a result driven attitude.
