SALARY: £40,500 - £55,500 basic, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and company pension
The company have been running for over 20 years and are a leading distributor of warehouse storage systems in the UK, specialising in the complete design, supply, installation and fit-out of commercial premises. This role is covering all divisions within the organisation.
Day to day responsibilities as a Health and Safety Manager include but not limited to providing advice on all matters relating to Health & Safety as required under Regulation 7 of the management of Health & Safety at work regulation 1999 (MHSER 1999). You will assist in reviewing and developing safe methods of work and safety procedures to ensure regulation compliance. Being a Health and Safety Manager, you will complete regular site audits and produce a CDM audit report and maintain regular contact with site managers between visits and updates. You will also attend initial meetings to discuss projects and pre-construction information and attend meetings before project completions to review the Health and Safety file. As a Health and Safety Manager you will produce documents to a high standard including letters, reports and emails and ensure all written documents are in line with company standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.
You will be office based in Hertfordshire 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday reporting to the Managing Director so you must be able to commute there daily with site visits involved.
To be suitable for this role as a Health and Safety Manager you must have 5 year’s experience within commercial storage/interior fitouts or a refurbished company. You must have construction experience, NEBOSH qualification and the ability to review and change legacy policies when required. You must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate with people at all levels including board level.
