POSITION: Health & Safety Advisor/Manager – Construction/Engineering
SALARY: £29,500 - £33,000 basic plus overtime, expenses, company profit bonus, company vehicle
LOCATION: Kent, Essex, London
To be suitable for this role you must currently be a Health & Safety Manager within construction or engineering, be comfortable with heights, fast moving rotating equipment and a very dynamic environment; with the NEBOSH qualification.
The company works in a very dynamic environment with lots of everyday hazards including working at heights, confined spaces, working near to high speed rotating machinery, weights, slip hazards and more!
They are looking for a dynamic and active Health & Safety Manager to join their team taking the task from the Managing Director and making it your own without interference from above.
Initially there will be a period of training including working out with the engineers, sales team and internal engineers to understand the business, you will need a period of time to look over the current health & safety provisions, complete a re-assessment of the business and update root and branch if necessary. Your role will include the investigation of any accidents, near misses, complaints or issues brought up by the team, completing full reports and enforcing any changes to working practices that are required.
The role will be partly office based, home based and site based (mostly across the South of the UK with occasional longer trips and some overseas trips).
Relevant Health & Safety qualifications, full drivers’ licence, excellent communications skills, proactive with an eye for detail. Prospect for you are good as the business is growing rapidly.
