Job Description

A fantastic Key Account Manager position has arisen within a well-established and highly reputable food packaging company. 

The company who specialise in selling a range of stock and bespoke food packaging solutions such as cartons, boxes, sandwich packs and paper bags into food service operators, retailers and distributors are looking for an experienced and successful Key Account Manager to join their team. 

SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000 basic plus bonus £5,000 - £10,000 

BENEFITS: Car allowance, holiday, pension 

LOCATION: This is a field-based role covering the North and Scotland 

This role is predominantly account management with some new business, where you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of accounts throughout the North of England and Scotland as well as looking for new business opportunities. 

You will be in complete control of your own diary, spending approximately 4 days a week out on the road and 1 day a week from home. A highly consultative sales approach is required, conducting an in-depth needs analysis to identify the customer requirements, offering both stock and bespoke solution, discussing and negotiating costings and margins and closing the sale. 

To be successful for this role, you must have at least 3 years’ experience within food or carton board packaging. 

As this is a Key Account Manager position, you will need a full UK driving licence for this role and be able and willing to travel extensively throughout the North and Scotland. 

As this is a Field Sales Executive position, you must have a full UK driving licence.
