Job Description

Are you looking for a design lead sales role selling a luxury product? Then look no further! This leading supplier of bespoke premium garden buildings, thatched gazebos is looking for an experienced sales professional with a consultative sales approach to join their team. LOCATION: You will be based from the office/showroom in the West Kent area. You will work Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, working the odd Saturday when required.  

SALARY: Basic salary is circa £25,000 with an OTE of £40k (+). You will receive 20 days annual leave (that increases with length of service), company pension and use of a pool car when visiting clients (as and when).  

You will be selling a wide range of luxury, bespoke garden buildings, thatched gazebos and shelter kits to garden landscape companies and high-end net worth clients. You will be generating sales by responding to leads and enquiries. You will be speaking to clients over the phone, by email and face to face. Face to face meetings will be conducted at the showroom or at the clients’ premises/home.  

You will be responsible for following up on incoming enquiries and previous quotes, exploring with the client the benefits of their unique products. You will use your consultative sales approach and fantastic listening skills in order to obtain the clients brief, explore the cross-selling opportunities and present a fantastic design and quotation that the client will be sure to love. You will deliver the best customer service at all times whilst still having the confidence to close for the sale.  

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ design lead sales experience. Knowledge of ‘SketchUp’ is desirable but not essential but you will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages. You will have the ability to build strong relationships, have a consultative sales approach and the ability to sell. This role would suit somebody that may have sold luxury kitchens or bathrooms, where looking at designs and special awareness is key.
