POSITION: Sales Executive, Business Development Manager, Sales Engineer
SALARY: £38,000 - £52,000 basic salary with commission, bonus, company car, pension, full expense account, prospect within 12 months

To be suitable for this post you must have experience of selling water treatment services, ACOP L8 risk assessments, cooling tower monitoring or very similar.
You may have some experience selling water tank sampling, temperature testing, tank cleans, chlorination, TMV servicing and replacement, ACOP L8 risk assessments, remedials including tank replacement, tank upgrades to comply with current guidelines, dead leg removal, cooling tower sampling, cooling tower deep cleans, dosing system instals, boiler water sampling, chemical treatments and remedial works.
The company is one of the few independent Water Treatment companies left in the UK, they have an excellent reputation for innovation, growth, customer service and have received a multimillion pound re investment over the last two years to develop new services, new products and expand the team. They started by getting the engineering side of the business right first with a solid, stable team of field service engineers and technicians completing the sampling, hygiene works, remedials, the team is well trained, well paid and motivated.
Your role is to feed new contracts, new clients and new areas of business into the company. The role is seen as structural and will need some planning and forethought to be successful. Your take on the role will be critical, however, it is expected that you will spend a while working with the company owner, lead engineer and sales director to look at the strengths/weaknesses of the services, key clients and just to get a grip on how they do business. You will then spend time looking at the clients they are successful with and why to project that out to a list of potential targets to contact.
As part of the role you will be given lapsed accounts, leads from the engineering team, leads from the office, leads from the internet marketing activities, leads from the sales director as well as anything that you produce from your own efforts. As time goes by you will be handed live mature accounts from the MD which will need you to complete a full survey looking at what they are currently buying, what is still in the hands of competitors or not being done at all and where possible Up sell, as well as the usual expansion questions of “who else, where else, what else“ being explored – it is expected that the role will be initially 25% established accounts, 75% new accounts, however, that is flexible depending on your skill level and focus. Accounts that you open or work on will become yours so the percentage of new business will rapidly reduce as account management fills more of your time, you may at some point in the future want to hand accounts to a junior salesperson under your control.
The company has significant investment and growth projections for the next year, 2 years and 5 years, sales is obviously a critical part of that growth. The reward for success in the short term is financial, however, the medium terms career growth is exceptional – if you truly do want to transition into a managerial post with the option of a senior managerial post in the foreseeable future then this may be the role for you.
Please note – to be suitable for this post you MUST have experience of selling water treatment, ACOP L8 risk assessments, water hygiene services, cooling tower remedials or something very similar. The role will require you to lead the clients through what is a complicated and technical process in which mistakes on your part may have effects on health and clients legal compliance.
