A Security Engineer role has arisen with this well-established security company. They pride themselves on delivering the highest customer service and offer an inclusive service to provide protection against security risks including commercial alarm systems, home security systems, access control and CCTV for the likes of corporate offices, banking, housing associations and bus depots.
You will be working from home and covering in around London and Home Counties. You are expected to travel to the office once a week for meetings to discuss jobs new and existing plus training. Callouts are currently 1 in 5.
Duties as a Security Engineer include installing a range of security systems including intruder alarms, electronic access control, CCTV plus Audio and Visual door entry systems. As a Security Engineer you will be first and second fixing all the above disciplines, commissioning, fault-finding and maintaining the equipment. The work is approximately 70% installation and 30% service and maintenance with callouts involved. You are also expected to complete paperwork including operational checks, job sheets and completion certificates in a timely manner.
To be suitable for this role as a Security Engineer you must have a minimum of 2 years experience in at least two of the disciplines as full training will be provided for the others. You must have solid experience with the Paxton range of access control products and be conversant with either Pyronix, Texecom or Galaxy intruder alarm panels. You must have knowledge and experience of the latest security systems regulations and standards plus be up to date with health & safety and electrical installation standards.
You must also be able to work at heights up to 7 metres and have good communication skills written and verbally, interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive client relationships.
