Job Description

An incredible Trade Counter Sales Assistant position has arisen within a leading distributor of flooring supplies. 

My client who specialise in distributing a range of flooring supplies and accessories such as laminate flooring, LVT, Hardwood flooring, screeds and adhesives to the trade industry are looking for a dynamic and driven Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join their team. 

SALARY:         £18,000 - £19,000 basic plus commission 

BENEFITS:     23 days holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas shut-down, pension 

LOCATION: Working from the Depot near Chester 

This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will have a number of responsibilities. You will be responsible for assisting trade customers that come into the Depot, discussing the needs of the customer and presenting relevant flooring samples and adhesives as well as demonstrating tools. 

You will be expected to deal with incoming enquiries via telephone and email from a range of existing trade accounts, contacting these accounts regularly to find out about up and coming requirements as well as inputting orders onto the database. 

You will also be expected to complete all administrative tasks, such as drawing up quotations, updating systems and logging stock checks. 

Although training is provided, to be successful for this role, you must have a good understanding of flooring supplies and screeds and adhesives. 

This would be an ideal role for a Trade Sales Executive who is looking for a new role or an ex-Floor Fitter who is looking for a move to an internal sales role.
